We take our responsibility to keep children safe online and protect them from peer on peer abuse very seriously. We have provided a list of sites below which can offer support and please remember you can contact your class teacher through the Dojo app if you have any concerns.
Family Liaison Office ELSA Support
Our role is to provide pastoral support to parents/carers and help with any issues that you may have in relation to supporting your children, both at home and in school. We work to encourage parental involvement within school, signpost to agencies (where appropriate) and support children in school. Should you have a personal concern or school related issue, then we are here as a listening ear. We have access to a number of agencies who may be able to provide support to you and your family. Any query, large or small, that you may require assistance with, they are here to help.
We liaise with all school staff, always in the best interests of the children and their families. We work impartially and confidentially and can provide a ‘listening ear’ if you ever need advice or support.
We can be contacted through school’s Dojo message system.
Classes also all have systems to ensure that children can have time on their own with their teacher if something is worrying them or if they are feeling unhappy.
At the Forge Trust we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils, their families, and our staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.
At The St Augustine’s Academy we have a three tiered approach to supporting the mental health and well-being of our pupils: –
If children are still struggling to manage their feelings or emotions despite accessing support in school, we can refer to a range of support agencies. Some of these are listed on the Help Support and Guidance Sign Post.Â
Should you need any help or advice regarding issues around mental health and well-being please do not hesitate to contact us at school.
